Andrew and Zachari Smith, Aug 24, 2013
Our third house concert of the year was a bit of a nail-bitter. Right up to the last day we wondered about how many people would come. It is, after all, the middle of summer and there are so many wonderful things to do in the Cariboo. As it turned out, we had 28 guests who thoroughly enjoyed the musical offerings of Andrew and Zachari. Man, can those guys ever play! Andrew's African Tap Guitar is hard to believe.
You can see Andrew and Zachari for yourself on Youtube - search for African Tap Guitar, or Andrew and Zachari Smith guitar.
Kelly and Blu Hopkins, June 2013
Back a couple of months, we had another (our second) great house concert. This one featured Blu and Kelly Hopkins from Silver Creek. Len had played in a band with Kelly way-back-when, and we knew Blu and his music from years of festivals and workshops at Sorrento and other locations.
We had 30 eager music-lovers out for a lovely evening of music and stories.
It was great to have a chance to re-connect with some great musicians. Thanks Kelly and Blu - it was a great evening.

First of Many to Come
Len and I held our first House Concert yesterday, Saturday, April 27, 2013. The featured guests were Jane Eamon and Gord Brush from Kelowna. http://www.reverbnation.com/janeeamon An audience of 35 people enjoyed an evening of original music and stories in the up-close-and-personal atmosphere of our home. We needed help parking cars appropriately, and Pat Melanson and Cal Wilson gave that help. Thanks guys!

At intermission we enjoyed coffee, tea, nibblies and some great fruit kabobs made by Kate Regan. Thanks Kate! They tasted as good as they look.
Yum! |
